The Red Epic – W Helium produces up to 35 million pixels at every shot, thus eliminating the distinction between cameras and cameras. These sensors offer over 16 stops of dynamic range.
The RedCode Raw file format ensures maximum flexibility during post-production. R3D files can be used within industry-standard post-production suites for editing, VFX, conformation, and evaluation. The R3D data structure allows for non-destructive editing, preserving the integrity of the original footage while maximizing image quality and reducing storage space requirements. The Red Epic – W Helium ensures even greater creative freedom thanks to its ability to record simultaneously in R3D and Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR / HD formats.
