The Tascam DR-40 is a handheld portable recorder. Up to four tracks can be recorded from integrated microphones, external microphones or line signals.
In the Tascam DR-40 recorder are integrated cardioid condenser microphones that accept high sound pressures, have an easy setup with supported configurations AB and XY, this last configuration allows mono compatible recordings and precision in sound localization.
The Tascam is ideal for live music recordings, field recordings, journalists, and musicians.
A pair of premium quality preamps accompanies condenser microphones with phantom power, offering recording up to 96kHz / 24-bit. The DR-40 implements XLR or line inputs (6.3-mm) using Neutrik combo jack and uses SD or SDHC memories up to 32GB.
