Description
For maximum freedom in post-production the built-in Canon Log2 Gamma captures the maximum range of tones, providing up to 15 stops of Dynamic Range. Widening the Dynamic Range by up to 15 stops enables the extremes of highlight and shadow details to be recorded, thus extending the scope of colour grading. If less dynamic grading is anticipated or you plan to mix with existing Cinema EOS footage, then Canon Log can be used, or where a faster workflow is required, then the Wide DR setting is ideal as it does not require grading, both will still provide 15-stops of dynamic range.
